God’s timing is always perfect, and our story is living proof.

Before we met, God was preparing our hearts in ways we did not fully understand. We each had our own journeys, our own lessons, and our own prayers. When we finally crossed paths, everything began to make sense.

We first met in February 2024. Eric saw Alicia and was immediately drawn to her beauty and her smile, so he sent her a message. Although we connected early on, our first date did not happen until June 8, 2024. From the beginning, faith was part of the foundation of our connection. What started as a simple conversation slowly grew into something deeper. After three months of dating, it became clear that this relationship was different. It was peaceful, intentional, and guided.

As our relationship grew, so did the quiet confirmations along the way. One of the most meaningful signs began during a trip to Jacksonville to visit family, when Eric noticed the number 11:11 appearing repeatedly on the clock. When he mentioned it to Alicia, she shared that she had been seeing 11:11 during her meditation time as well. From that point on, it seemed to show up everywhere.

While celebrating Eric’s birthday in Colorado Springs, a restaurant named 11:11 appeared during a search for a place to eat. Later, when Alicia’s uncle Michael was visiting Tampa, Eric dropped him off at a doctor’s appointment and noticed the building address was 1111. Months later, while preparing for our trip to Medellin, Eric went to exchange currency and discovered the exchange was located in that very same 1111 building. In Medellin, Eric surprised Alicia with a manicure and pedicure, and the nail technician had 11:11 tattooed on her neck. Arrival times in Google Maps often read 11:11. Text messages arrived at 11:11. Even while searching for an Airbnb in Portugal for our honeymoon, a host requested $1,111 for a seven-night stay.

Over and over again, 11:11 appeared in the most unexpected places. We see it as confirmation and a reminder from God that He is guiding our steps and affirming our journey.

On Alicia’s birthday in Medellin, Colombia, Eric planned a proposal rooted in intention, love, and deep thoughtfulness. Alicia had a sense that a proposal might be coming at some point after a few lighthearted comments from her son Christian and his friend Traeton, but she had no idea when or how it would happen. The moment was carefully disguised as a birthday photo shoot on the balcony of their Airbnb. What Alicia did not know was that the photographer Rico, his wife, and Eric had secretly planned the proposal together. As the photos were being taken and the celebration unfolded, Eric asked Alicia to marry him. The surprise brought Alicia to tears, and the moment was filled with overwhelming joy as she said yes.

Together, we continue to walk through life with faith at the center of our relationship. We pray together regularly and make it a priority to check in with one another each day, sharing how we are doing emotionally and how our day has gone. We encourage each other, grow together, and remain deeply grateful for the way God continues to guide our journey.

Now we prepare for our wedding on June 6, 2026, thankful for every prayer answered and every blessing yet to come.
